Overview of the POS Module #

  • The Point of Sale (POS) Module enables businesses to process payments for transactions conducted in-store.

Adding Products to a Transaction #

  • Access the POS Module.
  • Select products by:
    • Navigating through specific categories.
    • Scanning barcodes for the desired products.

Associating a Customer with the Transaction #

  • Search for a specific customer to tie them to the transaction.
  • View the customer’s loyalty points and apply any loyalty program discounts to their purchase.

Applying Discounts #

  • Apply loyalty program discounts or generic discounts (e.g., $10 off or 12% off).
  • Example: Apply a 25% loyalty discount, reducing the total by $3.25, making the final amount $10.94.

Processing the Payment #

  • Checkout options include:
    • Credit Card
    • Cash
    • Check
    • Virtual Terminal
    • Pay-By-Link
  • Select the register where the transaction is being processed.

Example of Cash Payment #

  • Select Cash and enter the tendered amount (e.g., $20).
  • The system will calculate the change due (e.g., $9.06).
  • Accept the tender to complete the transaction and receive confirmation.

Providing a Receipt #

  • Print a physical receipt for the customer.
  • Alternatively, send the receipt via email or text message.
