Meet The Team: Courtney Young, Inside Sales Account Executive

Meet The Team: Courtney Young, Inside Sales Account Executive

WAS
Meet The Team
March 11, 2026

As an Inside Sales Account Executive at Woodforest Acceptance Solutions (WAS), Courtney Young helps merchants across a wide range of segments—including Retail, Business Banking, Middle Market, Commercial, and partner-led channels—switch to or establish merchant services that fit how they operate. Her role is centered on making payment processing easier to adopt, easier to manage, and more cost-effective for the businesses she supports.

Courtney’s work starts with understanding the merchant. She enjoys connecting with business owners at every stage—whether they’re newly launched or well established—because each conversation provides insight into how a business runs, what makes it unique, and where payments can be streamlined. Her goal is consistent: set merchants up with reliable, seamless processing while identifying opportunities to reduce costs and simplify workflows.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to give merchants the chance to save money while setting them up with seamless, reliable payment-processing solutions that help their operations run smoothly.”

What makes the role especially meaningful to Courtney is the direct connection between the solutions she delivers and the outcomes merchants experience day-to-day. She values the variety of industries and backgrounds she interacts with, and she’s motivated by the practical impact of each upgrade or onboarding—better reliability, clearer processes, and often meaningful savings. She also credits the WAS environment as a key driver of her performance, noting that she feels trusted in her role, encouraged to grow, and appreciated for the relationships she builds.

Courtney is effective across all segments, but she notes a particular strength in commercial accounts, where deeper processing knowledge enables more strategic conversations and larger savings opportunities. At the same time, she enjoys working with small businesses because the wins are personal and the progress is visible—often directly influencing the owner’s daily operations. Regardless of merchant size, her focus remains the same: deliver the right solution and a high-quality experience.

Courtney was drawn to the payments industry because it allows her to work directly with business owners on an essential part of their operations. What keeps her motivated is the pace and the learning curve—each interaction presents a new business model, a new challenge, or a new opportunity to improve how payments function inside the business. The result is work that’s consistently practical, relationship-driven, and outcome-oriented.

Outside of work, Courtney stays competitive in a different arena—she’s an avid pickleball player and gets on the court whenever she can as a way to recharge. She also has a background that surprises many: she holds a degree in agriculture, a field she remains passionate about and considers an important part of who she is, even while building a long-term career in sales.
